Guitar Pick Holder v2
Description
This is the latest version of my guitar pick holder.
Clip it to your guitar shoulder strap, then spin the wheel enclosure to open or close the inner compartment.
Instructions
Like so many of my creations, no support material is required.
Press the wheel enclosure into the back plate, using a vice. Make sure to wear safety goggles.
Lay your guitar strap over the back, then press the squeeze tabs of the clip into the corresponding indentations on the back plate.
Spin the wheel enclosure to close and open the guitar pick compartment.

After confirming that the original parts needed to be filed down, I have uploaded new STLs with gap clearances. I have also reduced the size of the ridge (per michthom's suggestion) and added in a chamfer to the wheel enclosure to aid insertion.
Pressing the parts together will still require a bit of force, so I recommend using a vice. I am adding that to the tools list.
Hi Chris
Just incredible - I was asked to think about a case for guitar picks to put on my son's carry bag THIS MORNING, and your design simply appeared as soon as I looked in Thingiverse. Manifest destiny, or did the Rapture actually take place and I'm (shockingly) among the saved...
However, I was surpr
ised by the solidity of the pieces when printed on the BfB-3000 I'm fortunate to have available at the moment. The tolerances seem pretty tight too, I don't think I'll be able to press the parts together as the wheel (44.5mm) only JUST fits inside the lip of the base (44.1mm), and the ridge is large
enough that I think it'll crack the piece if I try to squeeze them together.
I may try printing the top at a slightly reduced scale, but if you designed this in OpenSCAD, any chance of uploading the original files so I can tweak the ridge/valley to a shallower v-profile?
Cheers
Mike

Thanks! I was able to press them together with my hands. Fits my strap perfectly and the wheel turns well. The only negative is that it's a bit bulky and I'm afraid of it scratching the guitar when it's in the case.
