Summary

These are LM8UU bearing holders for the Prusa Y axis. They are based off of Greg Frosts bearing holders from his work with the LM8UU Prusa X-carriage. I am working on them for a .scad file, but until then you will have to live with my SketchUp model.

Instructions

Print, push in LM8UU and ziptie.

I want to make one for the LM8LUU, so the 45mm lenght. Can you send the original file? Thanks

Um I think you forgot to attach the .skp file

Excellent! I just ordered some lm8uu, and was going to make something just like this. :)

One thing, wouldn't it be less prone to binding if you put two bearings on one side, and only one on the other?

It's really hard to make them bind.

I was thinking the same, but I just had so many LM8UU's, I just had to maximize it all. I also make my mounting holes on the MDF larger so I can fine tune any misalignments really easily. Works great!

I have been using these for a while now, and they work great. First I tried only three bearings, but it didn't feel perfectly stable so I went with four.

I printed them and now use them, they work great. Best mod I ever made.

Well done digfab
