I uploaded the base, pupils, head, and body parts to i.materialise.com and chose the cheapest material to make the parts with, and the total came to $82.23. Is there a cheaper way??

Wow, this is great! It's Keepon's ghetto cousin!;)
Wonder if this is a prototype for the Keepon toy: http://wowstuff.co.uk/product/...

I've been working on building a Spazzi using the guide created at http://makeprojects.com/Projec... -- which I first read about in MAKE Vol. 27 -- and, if I'm interpreting the STL files correctly, the diameter of the hole being used in the plastic pieces that need to be constructed are approximately 20mm in diameter which would be for the 3/4" diameter Solenoid part #C12-24C12DC-AY that I found at http://www.mouser.com/ProductD... -- but, regrettably, this part is obsolete. That being the case, I had purchased three of the 1" diameter Solenoid part #C16-32C12DC-AY at http://www.mouser.com/ProductD... -- which was still in stock.
For the 1" diameter Solenoid to fit, my thought is that I would just need to scale the STL file 4:3, but I'm not sure if that would be the case.
