my posts keep getting deleted. Anyway, I wanted to say thank you, but the .scad files have the: "There was a problem rendering this file." I'm not sure if it is error or not

Nice work! I am torn on the block style. I like the idea but having done a full set for my guy model without it I like it flat too. I am glad other people are doing the minecraft thing. Keep up the good work.

A tip I found when printing them larger for example the sword, split it into two prints. I did my larger sword as the handle and blade in separate prints. Then take acetone and paint it onto the matching edges of each piece. Once they are tacky hold them together for about 10 seconds and let them
dry for a while and you have one solid piece.

Love the Minecraft stuff!

Instructions

Print. Mine some stone.
(Depending on how sticky your platform is, it might take some work to pull loose...)

If you want to make other cube-based items, modify the openscad file. The cubes are defined using a matrix. The cube size and spacing between them is also customizable.

2011-06-07: Added the sword! The voxels are a little smaller, since the sword required more of them. So if you want both to be the same scale, generate a new pickaxe STL.

Very cool! I like that you can see the individual cubes.
