Another X Axis Mod
by splod, published
Description
I decided to try some linear ball race bushes as used on CNC engravers and routers.
I managed to track down some 3/8 inch id bushes with an od of the exact size that fits the existing holes which are holding the plain bushes.
The X table now moves as if it is floating on air.
After seeing this result I intend getting another two to put on my Y axis.

You are correct LMB06UU are the correct ones.
For anyone else wanting them Marchant Dice are getting some more in next week.
Found them on ebay (coincidentally Marchant Dice). I already did this to my X follower: http://www.thingiverse.com/thi..., and it worked very well. On the Z axis I'm going to put linear on one side, and maybe try something on these lines out: http://www.thingiverse.com/thi... to minimise contraints on that axis. softsolder site has been very useful.
As for trousers being held up, I already use a belt.

If there is any movement of them in the future it will be quite easy to put a little touch of adhesive on them.

Hi.
That looks pretty good.
Could do with this for my Z axis. If you've got details I'll do the mod asap.
Could you provide your source and cost for these bearings?
Hi
I got them from Marchant Dice Ltd on EBay.
They were
£25 for four.
You could use two on the X Axis and two on the Y Axis if you want to save money but I've decided to use the four on X Axis and buy another two for the Y.

I think it's LMB06UU http://www.worldofcnc.com/prod...
Same as : LMB6 http://www.worldofcnc.com/imag...
Could you confirm? *DONT_KNOW*
