Goal Post joints for 600 x 350mm goal by Roboteernat Jun 7, 2011

Description

I was asked to attend the Royl Cornwall Show in the UK with my work this week, and I am going to be demonstrating Robotic Football using our teaching robots.

Thing is, all the goals were being used, so I wanted something visually good looking to represent the goal.

What better way to do this than to make a set of goals!

Instructions

Print 2 of each part.
Using overflow pipe (OD 22mm ID about 19.8mm) cut to the required lengths to make your goal. This can be made using a standard 3 meter length of pipe.

Mine is designed to accommodate robots standing 35cm tall.

The lengths i cut were:
1 x 600mm cross bar
2 x 90mm top corner
2 x 330mm front bars
2 x 350mm side base
2 x 415mm hypotenuse bars.

push the 3 corner piece into the 90mm, 330mm and 600mm piece.
Push the 2 corner piece into the 330mm and 350mm piece.
Push the 2 rear bent piece into the 415mm piece.
push the 2 bent corner piece into the other end of the 415mm piece and into the 90mm piece.

Create the other side in the same fashion to create a goal post!

Set your robots off on their quest to reign supreme in the 2050 world cup!

I have attached the original sketchup files, as only 1 part has rounded edges. I run out of time to make them all rounded.
