Coin cup holder by shack90 Jun 7, 2011

Description

This is a coin holder designed to fit any cup holder that can hold a pop can.
Coin holder 1 is 1.1 inches tall and holds 1 inch of coins,
Coin holder 2 is 2.1 inches tall and holds 2 inch of coins,
Coin holder 3 is 3.1 inches tall and holds 3 inch of coins,
Coin holder v2 is 3 inches tall and holds 1.5 inch of coin.
The Version 1 of this is for shallow cup holders.
Coin Holder V3 is 2.1 inches tall and holds 2 inch of coin and has a hole all the way threw to allow a base to snap on to it. I have upload 5 different base sizes from 1 inch to 2.5 inch so you can print the top section that holds the coins and pick witch base that will give you the right height for you cup holder. Also this will make it handing if you decide to move it to a different cup holder that all you have to do is print a new base and not the hole thing. another plus is now you can rotate the coin holder.
I have all so upload a coin holder lid that will snap on the top so when you move your coin holder you won't lose any of you coins.
The base and lid will be snug so you make need to do a little clean up to make them if as easy as you want.

someone is able do modify it for "Euro coin"?
Thank you in advance!! ;D

Thanks for the model! Going to put this in my car immediately - I would recommend making the cap as long as the holder; coins can still fall out with the cap on. Note that, in PLA, the center part of the lid does not fit in the recessed hole without sanding. Printed 'low', 10p infill, PLA, replicator 2, 2.5hrs, 81g of plastic. Super size options as well.

works great when printed with some infill! I also made one with 0% infill - that was not smart and the coins tilt slightly. Great posting!!!

A handle on this would make it 1000% better!

So, the 4 models below, they are all different versions of this? One of them seems larger and it's hard to tell what the difference is without I guess getting whatever software and checking it out

It would be nice to add a spring load like most car coin holders have. You could just add four plastic coin sized pieces to go between the coins and the spring. Then add a rim at the top to stop the plastic from getting out. Then a small exit slot for the coins.

If no one else does it I'll get around to it eventually.

Nice idea! Makes me think that all sorts of useful objects could fit the cup form factor.
