Description
This was a WIP project, a robot gorilla Marionette. I fused some of the joints in order to cut down assembly. THIS HAS NOT BEEN TESTED.

view allI've followed your suggestion, and uploaded the native file. Not sure how widespead the use of Cheetah is out there, but it looks like people are downloading it. If there are problems opening it, I suppose I could upload an .obj file.
STL files are perfect for printing - but not ideal for editing. An STL file is basically a pile of triangles - and editing something as simple as an edge can mean disrupting tons of little triangles. The design files are typically whatever file format you used to create the STL.

Instructions
If it prints the way I think it will print, the Colberobotorilla should come off the machine fully assembled, but this has not been tested. The project file has also been uploaded. It was creatd in Cheetah, a cheep Mac program with a pretty intuitive modeler.

This is VERY cool. Could you upload the design files? I have a feeling a LOT of people are going to want to make their own variations of this cool design.
I'm brand new to thingverse. I upoaded an .stl file, I suppose that's editable. Initially the plan was to print the thing in subassemblies and assemble it as a puppet. It was kind of thrown together as a complete figure, I hope that doesn't cause any problems.
