lol Now I want to make a Cowbear mashup.

Since 1 inch = 25.4 mm, if your software only does inches, you can just make it 25.4 times as large.

If you're using a Mac, get Pleasant3D to resize/rotate objects easily.

This should be printable, but will require support.

Well, being small isn't really a problem. It's very easy to resize something in ReplicatorG. Once you've resized it, ReplicatorG will give you the option to save the file at the new size. If you can import the STL into OpenSCAD, you can resize and save it larger too.

any pointers to software I can use to resize the stl? (can I do it in meshlab?)

(I don't have a makerbot yet, so I don't know if this is printable...)

Something to remember, thingiverse and the makerbot use millimeters, thats why your model apears so small. It's only a few millimeters tall.
