This is a very low cost (about 3 bugs) servo, hacked to be a DC motor.

Why don't you properly add this as a derivative of 5065?

All you have to do is hit EDIT and at the very bottom under Ancestry type the number (5065) and hit the ADD button.

Probably for the same reason that 5065 isn't notes as a derivative of the Unspeakable Machine: http://www.kk.org/thetechnium/...

better?

Awesome design! Any chance you could scale this so it would fit on a makerbot?

erdinger on Jun 28, 2011 said:

the length of the box is 145mm, afaik the makerbot's limit is 108mm

that is a big difference... maybe you can make the box higher and put the batteries under the servo.

in my design there are 4 batteries in there but maybe two would also work

to get it under the 108mm limit there is to my mind a total redising needed, sorry

Excellent! Is there a video of it I can put on my Useless Blog?

You might want to consider changing the name of this Thing to make it more searchable.

We don't allow URLs in Thing names, and your description doesn't mention anywhere what this Thing actually is! :)

Sorry.. I used a '' in the Title and it seems that it was cut off after that

Awesome! I was actually planning on designing one of these, but now I dn't have to... Looks really great!

Nice work, but doesn't printing this turn your 3D printer in to a useless machine?

schmarty on Jun 10, 2011 said:

I believe it actually becomes a useless machine machine.
