Holder for ducted cooling fan by Mothra78 Jun 12, 2011

Description

I wanted to use the ducted cooling fan (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5756) on a Brutstruder but it didn't fit between the Dinos. So I created this little block that raises a bit the Dinos (gives you 15mm additionnal height) and allows to fit the fan.

it's working well for me, the air seems to flow down the heater towards the tip.

I have printed calibration walls with and without the fan and it makes a huge difference. It also help when printing narrow parts to avoid having a molten blob at the top.

How is this working out for you? I'm having the same problem, but he fan up so high doesn't necessarily look as if it would help much.
