Description

Loved the design but I don't have a laser cutter, so I ported the DXF into SolidWorks and generated 3D parts to print.

I made all the STL`s flat on the bed in RepG

Just follow my variation link above ^^

I found the easy way to make these using SolidWorks, now I need to find other designs to port over, if anyone knows any other cool designs I'm interested.

If anyone needs help converting these DXFs to solids please let me know and I will try to help.

No Idea how much but they are large enough to print hollow, I printed one at half scale and now I'm printing one at full, I cut the main backbone in 2 and will bond back together, also cut all the legs in 2 and will do the same. I will post when done.

Instructions

The full plate file is probably to big for most printers so I included the 27 individual parts in the zip file.

We need a tag for these printable versions of laser-cut animal models. :-)

Seen this around, kept wanting one but don't have a laser cutter :'(

Can't wait to print this.

Any idea how long it takes/how much plastic?

Printing it now, Just figured I would update saying that I had to scale everything by 50% to get the pieces to fit on my Makerbot. The pieces still fit together, so all is good.
