Any chance that we can get her hand on his junk?

Even better if he has it "hanging out"

Thanks anyway, it was more if you had the unmodified model with the bent arm, rather than asking for a redesign.

I forgot I wanted to tell you I took my print of your awesome statue to MakerFaire NYC this year and people loved it. :)

Love this model.

Any chance you can put up a version with the gun arm not pointing so straight up?

Sorry to be a pain as I can see you were asked to make the change already to reduce the overhang. To be honest overhangs are not really such a massive problem as 30 (or is that 70) degree overhangs print very eas
ily on my Ultimaker (I can do more of an overhang) and it would really help the pose.

Break those 'limits' !

I'm afraid making further changes is a time investment I'd rather not revisit, I spent quite a bit more time on this project than I initially planned (though it was a fun learning experience). Maybe one day when I'll get a 3dprinter of my own. :)

Epic! I tried to make one as small as I could (mk6+ stepstruder, 1.75mm abs). Had some problems with the arm, but otherwise turned out awesome. Total height: 70mm - I think the gun was at the limit of what my printer can do, size wise.

Ah, that silly arm... It looks like it got messed up in exactly the same way as tbuser's printed small model. Not sure if I can do anything to fix the small model at this point, I just don't have proper knowledge about how to design support structures.

You should still leave the original. Support is experimental but it will be solved eventually...

Any chance you can post the source file(s)?

OhadReiter on Jun 16, 2011 said:

You mean the max files I used? I'm not sure what people mean when they say 'source files' here. The MAX file isn't too different than the .stl.

This is awesome, but with a few changes to the arm position to reduce overhangs it should be printable on a makerbot without support... I might give it a try with some experimental support options turned on when I get a chance.

I might be able to edit in changes if they'll help. Can you explain 'overhangs' to me? Not sure what might cause a problem and in which direction to fix it.

Beautifully done! Print and gold plate it! (shouldn't he have a bigger sack?) ;)

Thanks. I wish I could print it, don't have one of 'em nifty 3d printers unfortunately. I did actually consider the "Anthony Weiner" effect, but thought that while Tek has that sleazy pulp soap opera theme to him that sleaze still remains on a mostly suggestive level.
