Friend wanted a tie clip with his name on it, so he could use it instead of those crappy paper name tags. Decided there was a need for a fully customizable tie clip on thingiverse, so here it is.

A couple of notes, the Black Rose font tends to default a bit low, adding 0.5mm of offset is recommended. Also, of the different fonts, the default and the Orbitron are the most readable when printed. Black Rose looks great with some cleanup and then painted with a sharpie or other paint to increase contrast.

Any other suggestions on printing this? Layer height?

Layer height is dependant on size and quality you desire. I normally print at 0.15mm and the text turns out quite nice. I think I tried one at 0.05mm once and it actually turned out worse due to the overhangs from the text which turned out worse at the lower layer heights (the lift off on that particular print may have also been part of the problem, so take with a grain of salt). Never tried at any other layer heights, so can't really advise optimum settings.
