Summary

This is my version of a filament extruder, to recycle and make cheap filament. I did it based on LYMAN manual and one that TIM ELMORE did IT.

What are your recommendations for modifying this assembly to extrude a narrow sheet (~1.5" wide, 1mm thick), instead of a filament. Looking for recommendation on die

where did bought the motor ?
or can you tell me how I look for it ??

Hello, what motor and gearbox are you using? Thanks

Also what temp display unit are you using

HI congrats on you extruder I am doing almost the exact same thing I will be using a NEMA 23 gearmotor and was wondering about the size of your motor assembly is it something like a standard NEMA stepper motor with a gearbox on it? That has been my biggest stumbling block actually deciding on the motor I think I have one but would love to hear more about what you came up with on yours. other than the motor assembly are two systems will look amazingly similar.

Thanks for your time.

Hello,

good job !
