SD Card Holder Mark 2

SD Card Holder Mark 2 by jpcw Jun 26, 2011

Description

This is a Mark 2 of the simple SD Card holder. This version still holds 8 cards but now the slots are a little bigger making it easier to get the cards in and out. Rather than using tight slots to keep the cards from falling out I have added a lid to this version which clips on nice and securely.

Repetier said the lid wasn't manifold and slic3r sliced it as if it were one giant block. Thoughts?

This is a nice little SD card holder. I made the bottom half only and I really like the slightly sloped design. :)

BTW, I'm just using the default fill, 25% I think

Instructions

Print the base and the lid. You will need to lightly sand the clips just to clean up a bit of the overhang.

If you have already printed the original cardholder then the lid fits on the old one if you use a soldering iron to melt a couple of indentations for the clip.

I like the idea. I made one with 85% fill and let it cool.

The tabs on the lid broke before they flexed enough to clip onto the base.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the design :)

Try sanding the tabs back a bit and it should be ok. You don't need them sticking out very far, just enough to catch in the hole.
