Description

I don't know if I would make this again. I made it in PLA so it would match the acrylic sink knobs, but the shrinkage / variability of nozzle position / etc made it difficult to maintain consistency. I probably made this 4 or 5 times before I got the dimensions figured out.

A little hot glue might help, though.

Here are the settings that I used:

Temp: 200C
Build Platform Temp: 110C.
100% fill.
Nozzle location: Eyeballed to "close enough."

The color is from Sharpie marker that I painted on clear PLA before it went through the extruder. The colors aren't rich, but they serve their purpose.

I've also attached the source files, becuase I expect you'll want to modify this some. If you look around at them, you'll see a tapered hole I put in the bottom to allow for the screw. This didn't work out too well, but it did thin out the plastic a little bit so I could waller it out with a drill bit.

Yes, I wrote "waller." Don't judge me.

EDIT: 7/2/11: Use the second stl file. the one wth the tabs. I think it will work better, but I haven't tested it.

EDIT: 7/5/11: This doesn't work. At least not with PLA. If I get some time, I'll try it with ABS.

Actually, try the second one. I think it would work better.

Well, good luck. I'm working on a better design, but I won't be able to print it for a week or so. I don't know if I'd go for these or not. There's too tight of a tolerance to meet. Thanks!

I need two of these so bad.
