MK Extruder LED Arch by PrintTo3D Jun 30, 2011

Description

Need some light?

This was designed for the MK5, but should work with other extrusion heads as far as I know.

I also included "split" stl files that should fit on the Cupcake/TOM for printing however I printed it in one piece on my Dimension.

If you need even more sunshine print two of these! One for the front and one for the back!

I have about 20 some feet of white LED strip laying around, this isnt a bad idea. I'll go warm up the extruder...

All you need to do is tap into any of the extra 12 volt connectors off the power supply.

I cut one of the funky connectors off of mine and added my own JST connectors so I can easily unplug it if needed.

I believe the 12 volt wires are typically yellow.

where on any of the circuit boards in the TOM would you attach the power for the lights? Or is this something that must be powered separately?

Instructions

You will first need some LED light strips. I chose the waterproof type. I bought mine from:

hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_listCategoriesAndProducts.asp?idCategory=280&curPage=1&sortlist=&LiPoConfig=&qty=30

You may also need longer M3 bolts and some washers.
