My first 3D printer was the Deltaprintr kit that I purchased from their Kickstarter campaign in 2014. I spent about two years tinkering with that machine and creating hardware and software mods for it. It was a great learning experience. For a while, I was even hosting 3D printer night on Monday nights in my basement.
I took a couple of years off while I moved out West with my family to Colorado, but in early 2018 I saw an article on a new affordable 3D printer... the Creality Ender 3. My interest was kick-started again and I've been having a great experience with my new printer. This thing creates some amazing prints for less than $300 after upgrades.
I'm an experienced 3D modeler, as this is part of what I do at my day job, so I've had fun creating parts and upgrades.
Shoot me a message if you'd like to talk about anything 3D printing related. Happy 3D Printing! -Ryan
