Just a regular person. Husband and father of 3. I got into 3D printing in 2017. I love being able to take an idea and make it from scratch, and see it through to completion. I design, document, program/debug, test, fabricate, and build many my of my own devices, electronics, and machines. I do a lot of tinkering with C, C++, and Arduino controllers, steppers, servos, sensors, etc. I find that many off-the-shelf items and solutions nearly always fall short of my expectations, or are just simply not available in the configuration I want or need. I do some amateur photography, nothing to brag about. Experienced with AutoCAD and Inventor. I can solder, braze, and weld. I have a nice lab in my basement where all the magic happens, and where my 3D printer resides. I have a lathe I'm restoring, and I'm working on building a CNC mill.
I have an "Anycubic Delta Linear Plus Kossel Rostock" 3D printer. It has a 240mm diameter build plate and 300mm build height. I've made several modifications to it: I added solid aluminum corners at top and bottom for better rigidity, aluminum upper control arm brackets, a Meanwell 24V 350W (14.6A) power supply for the bed with a TriGorilla MOSFET heating controller to handle the additional power, some custom bed leveling brackets.
