About JorgeZuniga

Dr. Jorge M. Zuniga received a Master of Science and Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is a member of The Association of Children's Prosthetic-Orthotic Clinics and the American College of Sports Medicine. He is currently an assistant professor at Creighton University in the Department of Exercise Science and Pre Health professions. His main research interests include evaluation of muscle function, neurophysiology, and development of low-cost 3D printed prosthetics, orthotics, and assitive devices. Dr. Zuniga is a scientist in the Department of Biomechanics, Biomechanics Research Building at the University of Nebraska Omaha. He has authored and co-authored over 70 manuscripts published in peer reviewed scientific journals. Dr. Zuniga and his research team developed a 3D printed prosthetic hand for children named Cyborg Beast (http://www.cyborgbeast.org). The Cyborg Beast was named one of the best inventions of 2014 by MSN.com.
