I had an urge to learn all about electricity, this lead me to motor building - I found taking my understanding on the quantum universe and making motion nothing short of magical.
My focus shifted from electronics to motor's and generators. Building as I was learning has been great but I reached a point where using bottle caps and random pieces of plastic / wood for sketchy builds was not ideal.
I originally wanted to get items printed for me, but costing remained an issue. After a few more months of struggling i got fed up and looked into buying a 3D Printer. This too was not viable pricing for entry level consumer printers is high.
I was told about "REPRAP" the opensource 3d printing machine. I bought myself a kit and built my own 3d printer. Got the Kit from DIY Electronics.
I have learnt how to use Autodesk Inventor to make my models and building has continued.... been an awesome journey so far.
