I am a 25 year old mechanical engineer living in Denmark. Back in 2014 I (sadly) bought a Makibox. I never got a single print out of it due to various issues with it. The extruder simply gnaws the filament apart, and the heatbed is visible curved. Later on I found out that the hotend is also of a poor quality, so I simply let the printer sit and collect dust.
At the end of June 2018 I got a Prusa i3 Mk3, so now I'm finally able to print :)
I'm fairly new to 3D printing, but I am very excited about all the possibilities. My current project is to build a nice and sturdy LACK enclosure so that I can print various materials without ruining my lungs. The current end goal is to print with polycarbonate, as I may be able to make some work related prints that way.
At work I use Autodesk Inventor for modelling, and at home I use Fusion 360.
