You could save on plastic and fit to use shorter screws by making it more like the standard bracket !
And use flat head screws to avoid spitting !
I never dared to publish mine but OK, you are still a student ! :)
Of course it is the way to do, secure the printer to a heavy sturdy base plate, not like so many "know nothing" here who mount it on flexible feet so it is free to vibrate, part being printed too ! Would be great if they were printing concrete !
