Musician (guitar and bass, digital audio production, Logic Pro X), electronics (mostly modular, these days, but I used to actually get into the guts of a board and build stuff in the 70s and 80s), some _VERYBASIC hackery skills on Mac and Linux, bicycle nut (the vehicle to save a planet) and a "human doing" as much as a human being. Loving the Santa Claus machine on my filing cabinet! Steep learning curve but I live for learning curves, and long weeks away cycle touring.
Current projects: establishing my very own bicycle skunkworks, building an entire factory full of 3D printers, CNCs and laser cutters from downloads from here (muwahahaha!!!), well, learning the basics so that I can. Keeping the wife happy about my purchase with the odd printed gift and finishing some stalled projects by 3D printing the parts I couldn't afford before!
Ambitions: The factory above more realistically fits here. Have some wikid sick plans for making a better 3D printer, for a start. Anybody experimented with replacing an extruder with a wirefeed TIG welder? Please point me to a link for your thing! Er... that didn't come out like I mean...
