I am a part-time Soldier, full-time Railroad Signalman and Father. My younger brother got me hooked on Arduino and microcontrollers and I have been trying to make use of my moderate electrical skills to make some fun stuff. That is mostly where 3D printing comes in. It was a natural extension of making my own little electronic projects. Need a case for an Arduino or Raspberry-Pi? Just find or design one that fits your exact needs and print it off. Find a need for a small du-dad that you don't see any point in buying but would be able to make use of? Same thing find/design one and print it off. I love it.
