When I first started looking at 3D printing I found it very difficult to get a foothold, as all the information I could find was above my electronical knowledge.. even though I tried to figure it out I ended up creating a huge instructable which followed my own path, which I know have helped a lot of people.
It is located on the Instructables site and name: Complete newbie step by step, 3D printer with all parts lists -> http://www.instructables.com/id/Complete-newbie-step-by-step-3D-printer-with-all-p/
Printers I own now
I’ve had a lot of printers by now. I’ve build them myself and write insteuctsbles and guides based on my experiences.
The printers are either reused as parts (mostly) or are rarely sold to someone.
By now I have a Crossbot build of mine, which is using the Ultimaker xy gantry, but using E3D hotend, my own Belted extruder, filament holders and Duet WiFi controller.
Ive build some 100% Ultimaker 2 clones with real electronics and all. Guess I can’t call them clones, but it was fun.
