I teach Physics and Pre-Engineering classes at Divine Child High School in Dearborn, Michigan. I began teaching in 2000. My Pre-Engineering class was the primary push for me into making. It is a course in basic electronics taught with Arduino. Students have the freedom to go in lots of different directions. I've helped students build: robots, game controllers, CPR trainers, POV devices, LED cubes, color changing lamps, sensors to fly with kites, automatic ice fishing rigs, and other cool stuff.
I'm hoping my addition of a Makerbot will add to the cool stuff my students will be able to create. I'll be sure to have them post their stuff here.
