I have exhausted my knowledge of TinkerCad, SketchUp, and 3ds Max. Here is what I am trying to design.
Top half of a sphere with dimensions - 60mm x 60mm x 10mm
2mm wall thickness
30mm opening at the top
Inset ring at the bottom opening with diameter of 59mm x 3mm x 3mm.
Something like the attached image but true circular.
Can this actually be done?
I have a rectangular box and I am trying to apply a bitmap to one face and only one face of the box. Every time I apply a bitmap to the face it applies it to the whole model. I tried UVW unwrapping but the problem is I don't have Photoshop so I can't create a custom bitmap. Basically I am trying to place a picture inside of a picture frame. I want the picture in the center and I want to wrap the frame with a bitmap of wood. I'm using 3DS Max 2017 if that helps
Question for you guys, new to this software. Trying to import an .ai file into 3ds max 2016 to make a logo from 2d to 3d... I'm doing exactly what every youtube video and google walk through says, but it tells me that the file is an "improper format". Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
