Im recently getting a layer X shift on my anycubic i3 mega s. I would like to know if anyone can help get this fixed.
Its only happening when the nozzle moves from right to left on the x axis. You can see more clealy on the pictures attached here.
To me it looks more like a quality issue than a real shift.
I'd recommend a small test print where such issue is visible and try that with different filament brands, various temperatures and even different fan activity.
Changing temperatures or constant air flow do influence the printing quality. I mainly keep the window closed and open and close the door with care. A quick opened door may be visible at the print.
I realized that the fan just blowing from one side is not ideal. I had some good results by printing the thing turned 45 or 90 degrees clockwise on the plate in case of issues (which may not make any change at your anyhow twisted thing)
Check your prints (position of issue compare to fan direction) for this theory anyway.
I've printed this one but did not test yet. Anyhow, beside the chance of melting, I believe that it improves the quality.https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3564168
Yes.. it looks like a cooling issue.
I'd suggest this duct: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4796829
or this one, maybe: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4872862
