I just got a glass bed cover for my ender 3, but even after leveling the bed, the printer seems to be skipping the bottom few layers of the print. I've tried to relevel the bed multiple times, and it's getting hot enough to adhere to the base, but it still doesn't seem to work. If anyone else has had this issue and can offer some advice, it would be greatly appreciated.
Did you recalibrate and enter the new z-offset?
I'm assuming you were having successful prints before you installed the glass bed.
What do you mean by "skipping"?
Is the extruder motor clicking? You might be too close to the glass.
Also, I know it is "shamefull", but I use a healthy amount of glue stick. And (cough) rafts (cough). I know it's cheating, but it is stress free.
Just take ISO Propanol and clean the glass before every print.
Only a few drops and sponge over it (with the green, rough side).
During the print, it is very sticky, after cooling down it´s more or less loose, without doing anything.
Rafts are only necessary on tiny things.
