Ender 3 under extrusion

by Superguy728

I'm being driven up a wall, I've tried different slicers, different slicer settings, I've changed the bowden tube, I've tightened the belts, changed the nozzle, tried different filaments but nothing, so I'm come here looking for other ideas, thank you.

Ender 3 camera

by TheDarkSun

Hi all,
I am looking for a camera that I can put next to my Ender 3 and have it record prints. I know lots of people use GoPros but they are quite expensive and I am looking for something that is around £30. I don't really mind if it mounts to the bed or not but if it does then that would be helpful. Does anyone know of anything that I could use?
Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: If I could view it from my phone using WiFi that would also be really great.

Thin top layers

by SavedDoughnut16

So my ender 3 prints are coming out amazing after a few mods. However some top layers( especially flat ones) come out pretty thin and not even attached to the rest of the print. I didn't really ever have this problem before so maybe I accidentally clicked something in s3d but I'm not sure what it could be. The bottom layers come out perfect though.

Thoughts on bed leveling

by derWaldschrat

I had some thoughts (and a trivial experiment) about bed leveling that may help you.

TL;DR: Don't auto-home and level at Z=0, instead auto-home, set Z to 0.1 mm, then bed level with a sheet of paper. Better even use a feeler gauge.

If you already have a reliable bed leveling procedure, stick to it. But you may still want to read my rumblings.

Anyway, here we go: https://docs.google.com/document/d/10vsq-cN722SfCyX4edZYfuxIOAc-E5zJBaB7jsbepQI

Bumps in prints

by SuperNova0605

Sorry, I have been blowing this forum up, just having a couple issues. I started a low poly skull, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:906562 I noticed some bumps, so I stopped the print. I restarted, and It still has bumps. I will attacth the picture. I am using SuperFila PLA, 200C nozzle temp, 70C bed temp, and 20% infill. I was going at 35mm/s.

Classic Blunder

by jsheedy

My stock cooler was doing ok for pretty much everything I was printing... but... I went and added a bullseye anyway. Now all my layers a living independent lives with little to no cooperation. I suspect I may be dealing with too much cooling due to the more targeted and bi-directional nature.

I was running PLA+ at 210c and 100% fan speed on stock.

Have any of you folks run into this? And if so do you have recommendations for a new fan speed norm. Or should my temp be going up? Or both?
