Spent the weekend getting OctoPi set up to run my modded Printrbot Jr. If you haven't looked into Octoprint, and you are tired of your computer being tethered to your printer you should check it out. Up until about a month ago I used Repetier all the way -- updates to it, to Slic3r and to Cura had me looking for some better software -- besided I needed an excuse to repurpose some of my Raspberry Pi model B's so I could replace them with the new RPi 2.
I would highly recommend looking into it, even if you have no idea what a Raspberry Pi is -- setup is remarkably easy.
Hi all, I am running what used to be a Printrbot Jr -- rebuilt it so now my build area is about 12" x 10" x 18". I am experimenting with some of the new filaments, currently some PET, carbon fiber reinforced PLA, color fab Brass impregnated PLA as well as some of the wood infused PLA. I've had some unexpected and mixed results. Anyone else try any of these?
Every time I try to y home my p-bot simple makers kit it go's normal the first time but with a GRINDING noise . Then it does the same thing but it go's to the front of print bed & decides it's home.
Other wise it's rip printrbot simple makers kit 2015- 2015
if I mark where the center of my print-bed is, and print a bed calibration print, it appears to be offset by about 2 cm on both axes.
could anybody help me fix this issue?
BTW, I don't use slic3r, I use Cura. Is there a way to solve this bed offset problem with a quick M*** command?
