Extruder not heating

The extruder no longer heats since yesterday, he stays at room temperature and nothing goes.
Have the motherboard already screwed and checked if everything is properly pinned, but nothing.

Sorry my englisch is not so good, i´m from austria

I just had the same problem. My problem was much simpler to fix. The hotend would not heat. OctoPrint and the printer weren't even picking up any temperature values from the thermistors.

Thanks to @Perdurable, I got my meter out to check if my board was fried. Looked behind the extruder and the main ribbon cable was barely seated. Plugged it back in and it works again.

Never overlook the simple things.

I'd change the hot end heater cartridge.... Only a couple of € on ebay.... It's one of the few parts that has a real short life span..
I bought a bag of 5 for about €9... A quick check is to set the printer to preheat, and see if there is 12V at the hot end heater plug..
If the extruder temp is showing as 0 on the display, change the thermistor..

Ok so from what I hear it sounds like the board looks fine and the printer is working but only the hot end will not heat? If so try this.
Check for 12vdc at the heaters V+ and V- wire screws at the boards hot end connector with the printer on and the heater on. If you have 12vdc then the board is probably good so turn it off and disconnect the plug from the board. Check the resistance from the plugs pins through the hot end back to the plug and it should be 5ohms maybe? Im not sure but if you have .1ohms or mega ohms there's a problem and you need a new heating element.

Okay, i have measured the voltage on the mainboard and get out at the Preheat process 0V. So the error must be on the MainBoard or am I wrong? The cable to the HotEnd is fine

You are correct. If you are in fact on the V+ and V- for your hot end then yes your board is most likely bad. One last thing you can do is tear apart that hot end connector and make sure all the pins look clean and are making good contact. Perhaps the pin burnt up.

I will comment on the result tomorrow, I have to go to work now. Thank you ever for the quick response

is the display normal? or any faulty messages? like def? and does the bed heat up?

yes, the bed is normally heat up and there is no faulty message anywhere

Did you solved this problem please? I have the same issue.

UGH me too...this isn't fun :(

I still need the answer.

No, I had replaced the board

Did replacing the motherboard fix the issue?
