First Print / Settings for Cura anyone?

I just recently got my MP Select Mini V2 and wanted to begin printing some items off of thingiverse. I used cura for my slicer and had my settings set as such. (See attached photo)

I noticed with the first print the printer sometimes struggled to lay the first bit of material and the corner that it defaulted to for its actions seemed to build up an excess amount of material some what distorting the print, is there any way to fix this or a better temperature or setting I should be using?
I will also link the material I used here. https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=15827

If you have not been able to fix the issue yet, please feel free to pm me, would like to try to get you on my cura settings to see if it fixes your issues. I had some of the same issues in the beginning as well. Took a lot of trial and error to get it right. I also notice on your print that some of your sides are smooth and others are jaggy. That is a clear symptom of wobble in the z axis as well.

If we get you under some solid cura settings and that does not fix the issue there could be other things at play.

Printing on a table with Jello legs... ha ha ha, OK not helpful, but maybe it made you laugh! Anyways, I would like to know if you've gotten your issues fixed Cap Toast.

Hey everyone sorry I haven't replied! I think I have solved my issues. I used someones tutorial on youtube to properly create some gcode as well as removing the filament off the tip of the extruder just before a print that has allowed me to print smoothly for several days. I will let you know if anything comes up but as of right now I am fairly content with my printers settings!

CaptainToast, please can you post the youtube that helped you? I'm struggling with the same issues on my Mini V2.

make sure you have the correct diameter set and bed is level. Also i use blue painters tape and rub it with a little rubbing alcohol.

You should consider using the skirt option. It allows you to purge a bit of material before starting. Cura counts it as "Bed Adhesion" when it should be a separate option.

I recommend using Cura 2.5.0. I have the same material, and I print it at 200C. I am currently using a lot of MakerGeek material. Regardless, shop around, you should be able to find PLA for $25/kg or less.

Try these settings. They're not what I currently use with MP pla+, but they're pretty close. They're for cura 2.3 but they work in 2.4

Temperature setting, flow rate, layer height used? The pictures are of the underside of the print?

I was using Cura 2 with the settings that I didnt even write down unfortunately. I decided to just revert to the included older Cura. After using that with the cat gcode I was able to obtain two successful prints but now my problem is the extruder when preheating is just slowly releasing filament. WOW! You're running too hot for PLA. Try 200 or 195. Also, try layer height 0.175, it makes a nicer layer height. I feel MP mini is not as good at quick and thick.

Here are my images of the print :

As seen in the images the some of the corners have bubbling or excess material, as well as the first corner which is slightly distorted. Any suggestions or recommendations?
