So, here is the scenario. I have the Anet A8, which has taught me the basics of 3D printing, and since it is a crappy printer, I was looking for something better. My friend had this Makerbot Replicator, there was something wrong in the mightyboard, and did not have the time to fix it. So I did some research, long story short the part will arrive here shortly and it should be an easy fix. Once I have that all said and done, I have no idea how to operate this thing, and this printer is not a prusa i3 style like the Anet. There are zero good videos online for these things, so I figure I would come here. So here are my questions of the Replicator 1:
- I have 3 spools of ABS filament. (1.8 diameter) Can I use these and do I need to enclose it to prevent warping, as that's what all other ABS does when not enclosed. And if so, what are some ideas for enclosures
- Does PLA work with the Replicator 1
- Any suggested upgrades?
Thanks again, and sorry for the annoying noob questions. Have a good day
