Maximum Layer height obtainable?

by engineer27

What is the max layer height people have used with this printer? Has anyone tried going up to 0.4mm? Higher than that?
Wondering how much I can speed up printing for some fairly large projects.

Lubrication Z-axis

by engineer27

What do people use to lubricate the straight (non-threaded) Z-axis rods?
I've seen to use sewing machine oil for horizontal rods and PTFE/teflon lubricant for Z-axis threaded rod,
but no one seems to talk about the non-threaded Z-axis rods. It seems like the sewing machine oil would be called for.
What do people use?

Got a new glass print bed ...

by engineer27

I'm wondering if I should remove the print bed map that came on the printer before laying down the glass.
Does anyone have any experience to share?

Monoprice maker Ultimate issues

by necroplague

Hey guys, im newer to debugging|troubleshooting printers and needing some advice help.

My printer will heat up and start to print, but within the first side of a skirt it will just start putting out material, and will leave like spots. i have tried different files that printed good before, as well as taken the thing apart to make sure they was no blockage... When loading pla into it, it seems to flow great, its seems though when it starts to actually print it has its "hissy fit". Any ideas?

Things ive done so far:
Tried different files that once printed
Tried different temps
taken head apart and cleaned it
tried different filament just in case a bad spot|roll
replaced the Thermocouple
(tried to replace Heating Cartridge but it would not fit in head, was to large )
