About me. About the current issue covid-19.
I'm newbie to 3d modelling. I joined Thingiverse since 14-Feb-2020, and have my first STL published to internet at the same day. The Flexible Mask.
Design principle. Initially, I think I just like many other creators, try to create something, which can put on anyone face right after from the printbed.
Scratched head for few days, I still failed to overcome the thin wall issue, the overhang and support cleanup. And the smoothness of perimeter between layering is fatally unacceptable, no matter down to 0.05 layer height. I almost kneed to a household FDM.
2001 Space Odyssey, my all time favourite movie. HAL vs Strewdriver.
Finally, I knockout all the bad of a FDM, by needle and thread. The designs itself never fail a print job, with zero overhang, basically no perimeter, along with any flexible filament and print on cloth challenge, give you the ultimate comfortable and ergonomic mask, which also accept almost any filter options.
The Flexible Mask Valvy & HEPA for Valvy. Hope you all enjoy my work.
Goodluck and please care for the others. Stay safe. Stay home.
So many PM. Feels like a big hug. ;p
Quite a lot of requests about permission to redistribution of my design and materials, and even request to buy in for commercial usage.
Here is my response as usual. And now I put it here for activism.
Good to hear you will print these mask to others, no matter for philanthropy or commercial. Welcome! ThumbsUp!
Let's make it simply, post a make, drop me a PM to mention who you are, and Give Me a Shout Out by attaching the THING TAG** to every mask/purifier you made for free/sale. I wish users will know how the 3dp industry change the world. Finally, optional, tip me a burger if you like my works. ;p
** THING TAG can be found at the lower left of the thing page.
