COOL (Pun intended!) Nice easy print, fits perfectly. Only addition were the "special" nuts made from 6mm ally bar and tapped M3, this enabled precision positioning and tightening without distorting the bracket.
The photos were taken on my spare hotend mock up. My operational setup is more robust but not easy to photograph. I should imagine a printed version would be strong enough if the cross hole was a tight 2.5 so that a M3 tap would produce a good hole. I have found a std M3 screw can produce a good tapped hole if nursed through to avoid splitting. Also filing a flat or 3 on a std screw can make an effective tap for plastic for those without these tools.
That's awesome. Way easier to tighten than using pliers to hold a nut. I might see if i can do a printable version of that, though stripping if over tightened will be an issue. Great print, I'm sure you'll experience better prints.
Hot tip (couldn't resist): if you need to remove your hotend replace the 2 screws that hold the hotend in with socket heads.
You should be able to see it in place in the 2nd photo, if not it is 6mm dia 14 - 16mm long with a M3 hole in the middle across the diameter.
Nice work. I'm keen to see a pic of your custom nut.
