Took 12 hours using my config.
I printed this out inverted because I also printed out the other half inverted ... so I'm using it upside-down.
Came out wonderfully. I've been looking for a design like this for awhile.
I already had the threeup v2, but I wanted to replace the gantry with plastic because (i) it's janky (the metal rods are held down with zip ties), and (ii) this is lighter (less wear and tear I'm hoping), and (iii) looks cool.
I saved my config file for this, so please feel free to contact me and I will email you the file if you'd like.
Also, I estimated the materials cost out of curiosity:
- 1kg spool of 1.75mm filament contains about 330,000mm of filament.
- 1 spool is roughly $25
- That's $0.00007575757575757576 per mm
- This print called for 39,501mm (see the snipit image I attached)
- Conclusion: $2.96 for this part.
Rounding up that is ... $3.00 for materials and 12 hours print time.
