I printed the spherebot, keeping it mostly stock. I did add 2 board mounts for the electronics, 2 support rails with feet, and 2 angled supports on the ends. I had a couple of problems with the stepper connector on the pen arm being weak when printed at less that 100% infill. Other than that, this was a great model.
I wasn't really happy with any of the G-Code sending programs that I found so I wrote my own in Python, using WXPython as a GUI. The program is available on my Github here:
