I liked it so much I made two!
Still dialing in the printer's extrusion, and since I'm a big believer in printers printing their own enhancements, the first was printed without any cooling fans, and the second with just one. So the prints, while strong, look terrible.
Thanks for designing this, it's exactly what I needed!
Somewhat Modified MendelMax 1.5
I ended up having to cut the belt clamp in half. While the screw distance for a single clamp was correct for my printer and its X carriage, the distance between both clamps was vastly different. So I simply cut it in half and left one side of the X clamp as-is on the printer. This also meant I could use the same belt clamp fixture on the rear mounts of the carriage, allowing me to have two fans hooked up and doing the job.
An interesting note is that I used whatever 40mm fans I had lying around. This means that fans that originally cooled 1U servers now cool my print. During testing, both fans came on at full power. This caused the hot end to dip so far that it threw the thermal runaway emergency stop and completely locked up to prevent an imagined fire.
