Blinking Iris Goggles
Made by NeatherBot, uploadedDescription
I wanted to print something fun that I would not normally print and found these crazy Blinking Iris Goggles on Thingiverse. All credit goes to LoboCNC for making these DIY spectacles. I just downloaded his hard work and printed them. If you are wanting some crazy goggles to make a Halloween costume stand out these will catch everyone's attention. Watching the iris petal open and close is creepy and mesmerizing at the same time. If you want to see the whole process of printing and assembly check out my video!

Great video! I also enjoyed your FPV vids! Great job!
Regarding blink detection, here is Arduino code: http://inventorartist.com/blink-detector/ (supplied by someone in the comments) . Cheers!
Thank you! Ooh excellent I need to spend some time to see how the code was written. Thanks for letting me know!
Amazingly detailed video - I'll be referring people to your make to see how to put this together. Excellent build! As for the goggles being fragile, I suspect your settings that kept the PETG from fusing iris parts together didn't allow quite enough fusing for the layers in the goggles. I'd recommend printing the irises and goggles separately, with the irises cooler and with a slight under extrusion, and then printing the goggles hotter and more slowly.
Hey thank you for the feedback. I figured printing the frame and iris box at the same time was what caused some of the issues. Such a fun print thanks for making and publishing your work!
