The idea of using this frame was to allow me to use up some of my parts sitting gathering dust - and to gain a smaller quad.
The only bits I needed were the props, and after cutting down some 5030's I decided to order some 4x45x3 props - they turned up on Tuesday so I decided to get it built.... Very pleased with how is come out :-)
To save on space I've have de-cased a TR6A (PWM) receiver, cut the pins down and soldered the RX channel wires to the pins.
The RX is in the centre stack on a custom printed plate.
The VTX is an 'old' DIY aio from a couple of years back - when they first became a thing.
The VTW is on the back of the top plate with the small camera tucked away under there too.
Its only a 3s setup (motors and ESCs are rated at 3s) and the smallest high C packs I have are 1500's.
Still the all up weight is a respectable 320g...
Initial hover went terribly (PIDs are way out) - even if its cold and dark outside... ignore the voice in your head that tells you the kitchen will be fine!
