I wanted to try out the ANET A6 LCD on my ANET A8 to get the larger screen and hopefully quicker access to all the menu items.
I ordered mine from AliExpress, but there are other sellers out there.
You'll need to update the firmware and then plug in the new display via two cables (the keypad LCD only had one cable).
For the firmware, you'll need to comment out ANET_KEYPAD_LCD and uncomment ANET_FULL_GRAPHICS_LCD in the Arduino IDE Configuration.h file. Rebuild and upload the new firmware to the printer. Switch off the printer.
Plug the LCD cable from the display into the LCD connector on the board. Plug the other cable into the J3 connector.
Power the printer on an enjoy the bigger and quicker display!
This case/stand looks pretty cool and allows me to reset the board from the front button rather than having to find the reset button on the board.
I did consider printing this in two parts and gluing them together, but decided to give the standard print a go.
It came out surprisingly well and only required a minor bit of filing to get the display to fit snugly.
