I printed it with PLA, 0.2 mm layer and 35% infill. Works well !
I'm curious, which slicer did you use? I see there are slight seams on the rollers. With Simplify3D, you can randomize the start points for each layer to prevent a hard seam like that. Sometimes seams on rollers can cause them to have slight bumps while rolling. I've found some light sanding on the seams will easily flatten out the seam.
I use Simplify 3D 3.1.1. I sanded them but after I have made the photos. I don't know how to randomize the start points of each layer. Can you tell me how ?
It's on the "Layer" tab. The option is "Use Random Start Points for all perimeters". It's also mentioned here.
I only randomize the start points when I'm making rollers. Random start points will slow your print job a little bit due to the added travel time. Also, the visual results typically aren't as attractive due to retraction. You might have tiny holes where the random start points are started. This isn't a problem for a functional part like a roller but not desirable for a part that has to look visually perfect.
Ok. I'll use it only when I print round or cylindrical objects. Thank you for that information.
BTW, I like the white! The white makes it look very professional. Thanks for posting the make!
Thank you !
Looks great! I'm glad it works well for you.
