Hi, do you have a list of the parts you used, and where to get theme frome?
How much extra weight was the epoxy coating?
I weighed just a few of the components before and after the brushed on epoxy coating. I don't remember exactly but it only amounted to maybe 2 or 3 grams on a given part like and arm after sanding. I sanded the epoxy down after curing so the final thickness was similar to a coat of primer, but it did make for a nice hard smooth base for further priming and finishing. My all Up Weight is about 850 Grams. with a 3S2200MAH battery. Hopefully I can make a nice light gimbal and have a final AUW near 1Kg and hopefully a 10 minute flight time. 2200 MAH 3S is about the biggest battery that I can fit and still close the cover.

Still a work in progress, I posted a few more pics and a vid of it's first test flight today. Hopefully I will have some better video soon when it's not raining here, and I get it all tuned up. The finish is the result of about 2 to 3 weeks of priming and sanding with automotive primer, and glazing spot putty. It's painted with custom auto paints consisting of 3 stages of a metalic candy tangerine color coat, over a black basecoat and then a catalyzed gloss clear coat. I painted my Frsky Taranis radio and FPV goggles the same.
How did you make it look smooth?

Thanks! it started with a great design :) I made a few modifications after printing. I machined an all metal pivot for the rear arms, I added some tabs to the front and rear of the battery door so it locks in place real nice, and i had to glue in some screw mounting tabs for mounting the battery plate. I also epoxy resin coated all the parts before painting for hopefully a little extra strength.
It's not like 3D printed at all... John, can I use those photo @ my instructables page of this drone... Become a reference of finish product look likes... All the credits of the picture still yours... I will put it @ every picture of yours...

I am still finishing the electronics installation. I am installing a Pixhawk Flight controller Ublox neo-m8n GPS, lumenier 20A 4 in one blheli esc, Multistar Elite 2308-1400kv motors, and Hobbyking 8x4.5 folding props. After it is flying OK I will attempt to make a miniature gimbal for mobius camera head with STorM32 brushless gimbal controller.
May I ask where you "hide" the GPS? On the video you are using the square cover for GPS but "Ublox neo-m8" is round. I would also like to use round GPS like the naza one but don´t know if it fit.
Hi, I installed the Ublox Neo-m8 in the square protrusion in the front cover, The GPS module in it's enclosure was round but the GPS receiver board is actually square. i just removed and threw away the round enclosure and installed the bare GPS module with some double sided tape into the square pocket.
