A great design.
Instead of buying a power supply unit to power the fan I spliced together a couple old phone chargers and regulated the output down to 12V with a buck converter. I also oriented the filter output upward using another part that I CADed since I built the printer enclosure with aluminum sidings that couldn't easily be cut.
Although the Noctua fan that I purchased doesn't move as much air as other models it's exceedingly quiet so I'd still recommend it. When printing ABS I use another fan mounted outside the enclosure to help force more air through.
