I didn't use a raft but should have! I added a hole so I could hang it on a hook!
I like the idea with the Keyhole for hanging onto a Screw.
Did you use PLA? This remarkably cheap printer did a nice job man! Which slicer did you use? I have stringing problems on the bitholder base with the current Cura Version, since combing settings get ignored for these minimal gaps. The base part is a good Print quality test if your rectraction settings or combing in the slicer is working as it should. With any nozzle- oozing you would stringing immediately.
I can print on glas +3dlac without a raft and have zero problems with warping. But i use a heated bed and heated chamber and fairly low extrusion temperatures and bed temp. I don't think a Raft would improve the shrinked clip in you photos by much. PLA still should not shrink that much, either your extrusion temp or bed temp is too high or something is wrong with the cooling fan or chamber heating.
Thanks! I used PLA. This was my first print. I tried to print the entire thing in one go, which didn't help. If I use a raft, I don't have the same kind of warping with other projects. I have to support the use of the printer in an educational environment so I doubt they will get me a heated bed! But a tech can dream! It came out nice for a cheap printer! Thanks for the suggestions and tips!
