Fabric of Thyme 2.0 chainmail
Made by mkeagan, uploadedDescription
I am more often a knitter, but someone challenged me to make a 3D printed shawl or scarf. I ended up using this model as the building blocks for a cowl. I printed 6 panels of the 10x10 model and a whole bunch of the links to hook it together to make the finished product.

Looks cozy! ;-)
Is it even remotely comfortable?
It's a little scratchy because of how it printed over the raft, but no more so than some crappy yarn. Much more easily wearable than I anticipated.
Looks awesome!
did you encounter any problems? Anything I can improve?
No problems with the "perfect gap" link. The main fabric parts printed like a charm. Only minor suggestion is that because the links don't have the same bottom piece as the main fabric, the seam looks the tiniest bit odd on the back side. But really, this is the most minor of concerns. Overall had a great time!
I found the links to be quite brittle in PLA. What material did you use?
I used PLA. The designer uploaded a new link model recently that has a better gap distance that worked great for me.
